Understand Digestion Problems - Constipation, Causes And Aid more

Who ever said that constipation was a good feeling? With the condition, you have to endure the unpleasant feeling of being unable to pass toxic materials out of your body. The straining, the bloated feeling and the sensation of incomplete emptying are a few of the symptoms an individual may feel. Consequently, daily activities and work performance are greatly disrupted.

Significantly, constipation varies with every individual and the effect is also distinct for each person. The duration attributed to this condition also differs with every underlying cause; that is why it is best to ascertain what causes the constipation.

Proven as the number one cause of constipation is the lack of adequate fiber in one's diet; the fiber serves as nature's natural sweeper which acts on giving the bulk and soft texture of stool. Eating more vegetables and fruits will eliminate constipation as well as avoiding processed and refined foods; diets high in fat have also been proven to be the culprit behind constipation. Additionally, drinking plenty of water will also make the difference as water lubricates the intestines; this way, it will be easier for the stools to pass. However, it is also necessary to avoid drinking fluids with caffeine and alcohol as these substances make one dehydrated. Accordingly, when one is dehydrated, he will probably be constipated.

When one undergoes a major event in life, constipation can also occur. When an individual travels, the routine is drastically changed. The urge of eliminating is also sometimes delayed because for a handful of people, making use of public toilets could be difficult. For others, the stress involved and probably the hectic schedule are reasons given to postpone elimination.

Conditions such as pregnancy and surgical operations can also mean constipation. During pregnancy, hormonal changes and the uterus pressing on the makes it difficult for stools to be eliminated; as a result, constipation happens. Meanwhile, a disturbed order of intestines could reflect the reason behind post-operative constipation; aging related to slowed metabolism can also be a factor.

Unfortunately, effective coping is the only answer for constipation brought about by life changes. For cases of pregnancy and aging, proper food and water intake as well as mild to moderate exercise will help relieve the symptoms but generally, constipation will persist as these conditions progress.

Finally, diseases and drugs at the same time can cause constipation. Mostly, the diseases would have something to do with disorders of the nervous and circulatory systems such as paralysis and diabetes. Doctors prescribe certain laxatives but the abuse of such can also bring about constipation problems. Undeniably, diseases concerning the digestive organs such as intestinal obstruction and tumors are also causative agents. Surgical interventions are needed. On the other hand, the problems with medication side effect can only be relieved by either searching for another alternative drug or drinking lots of water to somehow relieve the problem.

<>>Constipation occurs when a person defecates less than three times a week. Constipation can happen to anyone - even when there is no sign of another illness. Often times, people think they are constipated when they actually are not. For many years, people have believed that the norm if to use the bathroom daily. But, there is no normal range that fits every person. Some people naturally defecate 2-3 times each day, while others may only defecate 1 time a day, or even only 2-3 times per week.

Many times you will see new parents charting when their infant defecates - this gives them an idea of what is normal for their infant and can help them detect events or actions that may cause the infant to be constipated. However, once the child reaches early childhood, most parents stop keeping an account of their child's potty habits. Most people's body's work on a certain schedule - and not everyone has the same schedule. So, how do you know if what you are experiencing are constipation symptoms or just your digestive system's natural schedule?

<>>Constipation symptoms include the following:

Difficulty passing feces
Stools that are hard, dry, and small

Less than 1 bowel movement per week in severe cases

Before you begin treating constipation, you should consult your physician for a proper diagnosis. Treating constipation when it is just your body's natural cycle can actually cause you to begin suffering from constipation. If you visit your physician and get a diagnosis of constipation, you should discuss with your physician some constipation cures.

The most common cause of constipation is an unhealthy diet and lack of exercise. Sometimes, changing your eating habits and beginning a regular exercise regimen can effectively eliminate constipation symptoms. Other times, your physician may wish to run tests to find out if there is a medical cause for your constipation - constipation is often the symptom of a more serious illness or disease. Your physician will also review any medications that you may be currently taking to see if your constipation is a side effect. Constipation cures can include the following:

Healthy diet including fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, and fiber
Regular exercise routine
Laxatives in severe cases - but, as with any medications, you should discuss with your physician the side effects of the medication and medications should only be used as a short-term option. The overuse of laxatives can cause your digestive system to become dependent and make it difficult for your digestive system to clean your body of wastes naturally.

Drink plenty of fluids - you must keep your body properly hydrated in order for your digestive system to work naturally

Avoid foods that cause constipation - milk and dairy products, dry beans, cabbage, cauliflower, fried foods, and red meat

Corn Syrup - one tablespoon of corn syrup mixed in eight ounces of liquid is a great remedy for infants

Folic Acid - be sure that your body has the proper amounts of folic acid

Sugar - sugar added to liquids can act as a natural cure for constipation

Aloe Vera Juice - helps to heal and clean the digestive system making the deposit of waste easier

Apple Pectin - gives your body fiber that is essential for normal bowel movements

Triphala - consisting of Harad, Bahera, and Amla (herbs), this ground powder should be ingested with warm water or milk at bedtime

Knowing constipation symptoms and controlling the symptoms are important for a healthy, happy life. The most important and controllable constipation cure is a healthy diet and regular exercise - and avoiding things that you know can bring on the symptoms of constipation.

Understand Diarrhea and Constipation a lot more

Diarrhea and Constipation

Constipation

Diarrhea

The main problem in diarrhea is that food is forced through the body so rapidly that few nutrients can be absorbed. Not infrequently, diarrhea occurs when we are unconsciously trying to get rid of something we do not like about ourselves. A variety of nutritional deficiencies can result in diarrhea, however, particularly a lack of niacin amide.

A lack of folic acid, vitamin B6, or magnesium also results in diarrhea, which can be quickly overcome when the missing nutrient is supplied. Because a high calcium intake causes magnesium to be excreted, diarrhea brought on by a magnesium deficiency is common in bottle-fed babies, persons on conventional ulcer diets, and individuals who take an excess of calcium. As little as 1/4 teaspoon of magnesium oxide daily, added to milk, prevents or corrects such diarrhea, and should probably be given to all bottle-fed infants, particularly if they are wakeful or irritable.

By forcing food through the body so quickly that digestion and absorption cannot take place, persistent diarrhea can cause deficiencies of almost every nutrient. An acute potassium deficiency is a frequent result, which physicians rectify by giving tablets of potassium chloride several times daily. A magnesium deficiency is also often produced and may bring on tremors, muscle spasms of the arms, hands, legs, feet, and eyes, or epileptic-like convulsions; and fluids given to relieve dehydration dilute the already under supplied magnesium, thus making these symptoms worse. Such a condition has been corrected in a few hours by giving 500 milligrams of magnesium, or about 1/2 teaspoon of a magnesium salt.

The diet taken during severe diarrhea should be unusually adequate. When the amounts of nutrients absorbed by persons with diarrhea have been compared with the losses in the urine and feces, it has been found that far greater quantities of all nutrients are retained if large frequent meals are eaten instead of small ones, even though hearty meals may make the diarrhea temporarily worse. The foods need not be smooth or low in residue, but merely as rich as possible in vitamins, minerals, oils, and proteins, Diets high in fats slow down the passage of foods through the body. When different fats have been radioactively labeled and given to persons with severe diarrhea, the absorption of oils has been virtually complete whereas solid fats have not been digested.

The starting point. Recovery from no disease can be rapid until both digestion and absorption are efficient. At first vitamin and mineral supplements, which need no digesting, and yogurt or acidophilus, largely digested during the culturing process, should be heavily relied upon. Digestive enzymes with bile, hydrochloric acid, and lecithin should be used temporarily, and the amounts increased if bloating is noticeable. Gas distention indicates that putrefactive bacteria are being fed rather than one's own body.

When a completely adequate diet can be taken without difficulty, digestion and absorption usually become efficient in approximately a month.

Constipation

Because the purpose of the large intestine is to conserve water, any deficiency that decreases the motility of the intestinal muscles allows too much water to be reabsorbed; hence the stools become dry and firm. Constipation, which is defined as a hard stool rather than an infrequent one, can be relieved by increasing the intake of fruits and vegetables, the natural sources of B vitamins, especially of B1 and pantothenic acid, and of yogurt or acidophilus milk or culture. Acidophilus culture taken with milk sugar is particularly laxative.

Inadequate bile flow frequently causes constipation by allowing undigested fats to react with calcium and/or iron to form hard soaps. Lecithin, oils, and the use of bile tablets rectify the condition temporarily, but permanent correction lies in increasing bile production.

Spastic constipation, characterized by spasms in the large bowel, occurs when deficiencies of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and/or vitamin B6 are superimposed on other deficiencies which result in faulty elimination.

Constipation in itself is not harmful or "autointoxicating." Far more harmful is the use of laxatives and cathartics which irritate delicate intestinal membranes and interfere with digestion and absorption. Mineral oil, probably the most damaging of all laxatives, decreases the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, and itself absorbs vitamins A, D, E, K, and carotene from the' foods in the intestine; it passes into the lymph and blood, picks up more fat-soluble vitamins from liquids and tissues throughout the body, and is then excreted in the feces. The persons for whom mineral oil is most often recommended are ill ones, who can least afford this drastic loss of vitamins.

Though for more than 20 years the American Medical Association has urged physicians to discontinue its use, it is still prescribed.

Much constipation is psychological in origin. Branches of the same nerve go to both the rectum and the sex organs; hence when sexual expression is so unsatisfactory as to cause anxiety, general inhibitions and Puritanical background often force this concern to be diverted to worry about elimination. Constipation is also at times an unconscious "holding back" characteristic of frigidity.

Hemorrhoids

Bleeding hemorrhoids (piles) have been produced in volunteers deficient in vitamin B6 and corrected when the vitamin was given. Every person with whom I have worked who has had hemorrhoids has reported a "miraculous recovery" after adhering to an adequate diet supplemented with 10 milligrams of B6 after each meal. Since pregnant women are notoriously deficient in vitamin B6, a lack of this vitamin may prove to be the cause of the hemorrhoids so common during this period.

In cases where surgical removal of hemorrhoids is necessary, particular attention should be given to the prevention of scar tissue. The shriveling and inelasticity of such tissue can cause serious problems in elimination for years afterward.

For those that suffer with it, finding constipation remedies are a high priority. With the bloating and discomfort that can accompany it, constipation can make a person suffer. The best types of remedies to begin with are dietary and lifestyle changes.

- Exercise is one of the best home remedies for constipation. Blood, oxygen and nutrition are delivered easier with exercise. This allows the intestines to function properly.

- Fiber should be added to one's diet. This adds bulk to the stool and helps develop regular bowel contractions. The recommended dosage is from 25 to 35 grams a day.

- The best constipation remedies are natural from fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, nuts and seeds.
Natural remedies for constipation continue with hydration. Water needs to be ingested regularly.

- The recommendation is eight 8 oz glasses daily. This helps to loosen the stool and keeps the intestines healthy. Drinking up to five glasses of hot water daily is a good one of the constipation remedies.

- And when you ingest more fiber, drinking water is vital. Fiber tends to absorb liquid. It can actually aggravate constipation rather than relieving it without proper hydration.

- Elimination of white flour and sugar from the diet is another one of the constipation remedies. Both can be a source of digestion problems and constipation.

- Add essential fats such as Omega 3 and Omega 6 to your diet. Flaxseed is an excellent source of both.

- Avoid other constipating foods such as milk, cheese, salt, beef, junk food, wine and carbonated drinks.

Constipation remedies moves into balancing the bacteria in the intestines. Both constipation and diarrhea can occur when bad bacteria overpower the good. Long-term constipation remedies mean that it is vital to maintain a good balance. The overuse of laxatives, enemas, and antibiotics can kill off the good bacteria. A poor diet is also a leading cause. A probiotic supplement is a constipation remedies. It will help restore and maintain bacteria levels in the intestines.

Constipation remedies finishes with practicing good habits and home remedies. Go to the bathroom on a regular basis. Even if nothing happens, the idea is to retrain the bowel. Prune juice is one of the common natural remedies for constipation. This should not be used long term because it is a mild laxative. But for short term relief, it is a good idea. Apples add bulk to the stool and they have a mild laxative effect as well. Carrot juice is another one of the good constipation remedies since it helps soothe the lining of the stomach and intestines. Garlic is effective as it soothes and helps to heal inflammation in the intestinal tract. Bananas are high in fiber and help to restore normal bowel movements.

Constipation Cure

Constipation occurs when waste material moves through the bowel too slowly. It is characterized as infrequent bowel movements and the passage of hard and painful stools. Usually constipation is caused by a diet low in fiber, ingesting too much dairy products such as milk and cheese, not drinking enough water or waiting too long to go to the bathroom. Waiting too long to go to the bathroom is very common among young children. It is amazing how kids will ignore the urge to use the bathroom until they are two seconds from wetting their pants. Talk about procrastination!

If a child has hard and painful stools, he will typically hold in his bowel movements to prevent it from hurting again. This makes the constipation continue and worsen. Remind your child to go when they have the urge and not wait until the last minute.

Constipation is best treated by making dietary changes. Until the constipation has improved stool softeners and natural remedies may be used. Some measures that can be used to treat and prevent constipation in your child include:

Increasing fluids: Increase the amount of water and fruit juice that your child drinks each day.

Increasing fiber: Increase the amounts of fruits and vegetables. Raw, unpeeled fruits and vegetables such as beans, sweet potatoes, peas, turnip greens, raw tomatoes and corn contain an excellent amount of fiber. Vegetable soups are especially high in fiber and also add more liquids to your child's diet.

Increasing bran: Increase bran in your child's diet with bran cereals, bran muffins, shredded wheat, graham crackers, or whole wheat bread.

Reducing constipating foods: Foods that cause constipation include cow's milk, yogurt, cheese, cooked carrots, and bananas. Drinking too much milk (your child may only be drinking 2-3 cups a day, but it may be too much for his system to handle) is heavily associated with having constipation. Soy milk has been shown to soften stools.

Stool Softeners

Many medicines used to prevent constipation can be purchased over the counter at your local pharmacy. They include Colace Syrup, Maltsupex, Metamucil, Milk of magnesia, Citrucel, mineral oil.

Unlike laxatives, stool softeners are usually not considered to be habit forming. You should use them once or twice a day and work up on the dose until your child is having a soft stool each day. If you child starts to have diarrhea, then you are giving too much and should cut back on the dosage.

Acute Constipation

If your child has been constipated for a long time he may need to be "cleaned out" before the stool softeners will work by using an enema, a glycerine suppository or high doses of mineral oil. A stimulate laxative such as Senokot can also be used. Miralax is an effective medicine used to treat constipation but is available only by prescription. Examine Breastfeeding and Constipation far more

Constipation in exclusively breastfed babies is very rare; breast milk is a natural laxative which helps in maintaining the softness of stool and also moving it effectively through the intestines. However, in babies who are given formula along with breast milk, the instances of constipation are common as the constituents of formula can often slow down the digestive system of the baby. Cow's milk is another common irritant which can lead to constipation in babies and should ideally be avoided for infants.

What Signals Constipation in Babies and How Can it be Treated?

It is easy to misinterpret normal digestive cycle of a baby as constipation. It is absolutely normal for a young infant to pass stool once in a week or two. Babies who are exclusively breastfed do not have much waste matter to pass out. Breast milk is very easily digestible and almost all of it is absorbed by the body as nutrients, this leads to very little stool formation, which in turns makes the baby pass stool after long intervals. If the stool is soft and is not causing unnecessary discomfort to your baby while passing it out, then constipation can be easily ruled out.

Hard pellet like stool which is dry and flaky and causes acute discomfort to the baby while passing it out signifies constipation and should be treated if it lasts long. Generally formula or cow's milk are the culprits causing constipation these should be stopped immediately and the amount of breast feed increased, this generally takes care of the problem.

Over the counter medication, glycerin suppositories, syrups can all be helpful in treating constipation in babies; however they should be given only after consulting your physician. Most of the times constipation in breast fed babies is temporary and goes away naturally without any medical intervention.

Constipation in Breastfeeding Mothers

The bodies of breastfeeding mothers focus almost solely on the well being of the babies and every part works together to help produce more milk for the baby. This can lead to all the fluids in a mother's body being used up for producing milk. You might feel you are taking adequate fluids and yet could get highly constipated as fluids are all used up for the production of life giving milk for your baby. Hence the need for some constipation relieving foods which could help you in passing stools normally.

Foods that Help

Prune juice: A glass of prune juice is a sure shot way of getting your colon cleared up within a couple of hours. However, this is a measure that should be used only as a last resort.

Lemon juice: Drinking lemon juice squeezed in hot water twice a day is an effective way of warding off constipation.

Vegetables: Steamed broccoli, cauliflower when teamed with ginger and olive oil can help in clearing the colon. Red beets should be eaten at least thrice a day for an efficient digestive system. Drinking home made fresh vegetable juices is a great way of providing the required roughage and fiber to your body.

Constipation Remedy

Constipation

Constipation describes situations wherein patients have difficulty moving their bowels. From most of the persons complaining of Constipation, only a very few have any serious underlying disease that needs specialized tests and treatment by a gastroenterologist.

Educating the patient about worrying too much about bowel patterns can treat most of the cases. Bowel training - attempting a bowel movement everyday at the same time, preferably early mornings when colon activity is high - can be practiced. The food habits form the important part of the remedy. Eating high-fiber foods like cereals, vegetables and fruits helps a great deal. Limiting foods like ice cream, cheese, meat and processed foods is also preferable. Drinking 1.5 - 2 liters of water per day is essential, as is avoiding dehydrating drinks containing caffeine and alcohol. Regular exercise, besides having other health benefits, is a must for avoiding Constipation.

The diagnosis of Constipation is done using methods like physical examination, colorectal transit study, anorectal function tests, barium enema x ray and sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy.

If no appreciable improvement takes place with the lifestyle changes, then a bulk-forming laxative is indicated. Psyllium and methylcellulose are bulk-forming laxatives which can be used for a long time without side effects. Next in line are medications like hyprosmotics, lactulose, Polyethylene glycol, Glycerin and Sorbitol, and Salines like magnesium hydroxide, magnesium citrate and sodium phosphate. The third-line medications are Anthraquinones like Cascara sagrada, Emollients such as Docusates, Senna and mineral oil, and stimulants such as Phenolpthalein, castor oil or Bisacodyl.

The use of the above medicines must be under strict supervision by healthcare professionals, and only done as a short-term measure, since most of them have side effects. Patients under the administration of laxatives should aim at stopping them slowly. In most cases, the ability of the colon to contract will be restored after some time. Enemas and suppositories are used as an emergency treatment. Surgery should be considered as a last resort when all other measures fail.

CONSTIPATION

Constipation is man's most common chronic digestive condition. One person in 6 complains of it. Surveys show that 6% of children are reported to be constipated with boys the main victims. This trend is reversed in adults and women are far more likely to suffer from this problem than men. As we grow older the differences even out and constipation is common in the elderly of both sexes. There are three basic descriptions given by people who suffer from this uncomfortable condition. They complain about the stools being too hard, too large or too small. They say they have to strain and push when passing a stool and that they don't feel the need to go as often as they think they should. It is said to be normal to have a bowel movement daily, usually first thing in the morning within half an our of getting out of bed. The call of nature is normally felt and answered effortlessly, painlessly and with a great sense of a job well done when it is all over. People who suffer from constipation often complain of other symptoms as well. These include headaches, tiredness or lack of energy, difficulty in concentrating, coating of the tongue, bloating of the abdomen, loss of appetite, wind, skin problems and bad breath. If there is tension in the connective tissue around the gut then the bowel doesn't function properly. Bowel movements are reduced and the passage of waste products slows down through the bowel. This makes the passing of stools less frequent. Water is reabsorbed in the gut and the longer the stool stays in the bowel the drier it becomes and the more difficult and painful it is to pass. Poor diet, insufficient roughage, too little fluid drunk, too much stress and tension and lack of exercise can cause constipation.

CONSTIPATION IN BABIES

Increase in tension in the gut can cause a baby to be constipated (see Constipation). Unlike adults a baby who is constipated can still have a soft stool but may have great difficult in passing it. Sometimes they can strain for several hours before passing a sloppy stool. No two babies are alike but it is more usual for there to be at least one dirty nappy a day, however if the stools are hard dry or painful to pass its a sign of constipation.

TREATMENT

A short programme of treatment with Connective Tissue Manipulation reduces the tension in the connective tissue and helps to restore the normal function to the gut.

In adults a balanced programme of treatment including Connective Tissue Manipulation and Manual Lymph Drainage reduces the tension in the connective tissue and helps to restore the normal function to the gut.

Constipation

Constipation can affect your whole life. Although it's not talked about frequently, constipation and its side effects are at the root of many people's overall health problems. The effects of constipation reach far beyond your digestive health, and in some cases, can lead to more serious conditions.

The first constipation side effect is hemorrhoids and anal fissures. This is caused when you strain to try to pass hard stools. Hemorrhoids and anal fissures are painful and can cause swelling in the rectal area. In addition, straining can also cause a condition called rectal prolapse. Rectal prolapse occurs when a small amount of intestinal lining is pushed out of the anal opening.

Fecal impaction is also a possible side effect. It occurs when the stool becomes impacted in the bowels to the point that it can't be expelled from the body. These impactions require enemas or other invasive measures to break up the stool so it can be passed.

Even if you don't experience fecal impaction, constipation side effects can still be dangerous. When the bowel is clogged with stool, the colon becomes a breeding ground for harmful bacteria and parasites. When your bowels aren't clean, it leads to a whole host of problems throughout the body. These problems can include gall-bladder problems, varicose veins, heart disorders, arthritis, hernia, appendicitis and, in extreme cases, cancer of the colon.

Constipation lowers your body's resistance and makes you more prone to illnesses. It puts strain on your other vital excretory organs like lymph, skin, liver, kidneys and lungs. These organs become overworked, and don't have the resources to repair themselves. When they aren't running at full capacity, they can't eliminate waste from your body. This leads to a slow down of cellular metabolism, which means your entire body is suffering. Your energy levels drop, you experience mood swings and you can't stay healthy. Truly, constipation side effects are the start of a domino effect.

Fortunately, there are specific and effective things that you can do to alleviate the symptoms of constipation. Eating a fiber-rich diet, drinking plenty of water and getting regular exercise will limit your chances of becoming chronically constipated. When you incorporate these changes into your life, you'll be improving your digestive health. Changing your habits will allow your body to function at its best level.

Have you experienced having constipation? You must have known the discomfort it brings. Stomach pains, hard tools, difficulty in bowel movements that may lead to bleeding stools and hemorrhoids. These are just some discomforts that may interfere with your daily routine and you have to know how to get rid of constipation before it could get chronic and serious.

Constipation is a common digestive problem and almost anyone struggles from it at one time in their life. It is known that constipation is responsible for many colon diseases such as hemorrhoids, colitis, diverticulosis, varicose veins and possibly colon cancer. Food wastes or fecal matter that stays in your colon longer than necessary is a killer. To help you get rid of constipation here are some tips:

Drink plenty of water. Lack of liquid may lead to constipation. To get rid of constipation, doctors recommend 8 glasses of water everyday. Drink a glass of warm water first thing in the morning. Some find it effective to drink a warm tea early in the morning. Drinking warm milk before bedtime will help you eliminate easily in the morning.

Add fiber to your diet. To get rid of constipation put fibers to your diet. People now are eating more of processed foods and to get rid of constipation you have to eat more fruits and vegetables to get the necessary fiber that you need. Insoluble fiber gives bulk to your diet and soluble fiber turns into soft texture like gel in your intestine to prevent hard and dry stool that are difficult to eliminate.

Bowel movement habit. Train yourself to have early morning elimination. Sit on the toilet 5-10 minutes in the morning to induce the urge to eliminate. To get rid of constipation, do not delay or ignore the urge to eliminate. Some people delay or ignore the urge because they are too busy. Ignoring it may lead to the habit of irregular elimination and may lead to constipation.

Exercise and physical activities. Although it is not yet explained why proper exercise and physical activities has helped some people to get rid of constipation, it is a known fact that exercise is really good for the body. Constipation is common to elderly people who have less physical activities. Proper exercise may increase the natural contractions of the intestine to promote regularity of elimination.

You should learn how to get rid of constipation and establish a regular bowel movement. Everyday you should have a bowel movement for every meal you eat. If you don't have a bowel movement every day, and you eat 2 - 3 meals, will those meals be decaying in your colon?

When you have constipation, millions of toxins are created in the colon that needs to be flushed out with regular bowel movements. Do you know that these toxins are responsible for creating serious illnesses in your colon and throughout the body and even death? Thus, it is important to get rid of constipation.

Examine Exercise - A Treatment For Relieving Constipation far more

Exercise and eating the right kinds of food are the secret to relieving constipation. Most people that have constipation have a difficulty in doing both of these activities.

Exercise is necessity for eliminating, reducing, minimizing, and preventing constipation. By exercising, you can promote, produce, or create the following:

· Tones and strengthen your colon muscles
· Eliminates blood toxins by sweating.
· Stimulates your cells to eliminate waste and have this waste move out through your lymphatic system.
· Reduces tension and anxiety
· Stimulates your colons wall cell structure to increases its metabolic rate and thus improve its function.

Here is a simple exercise you can do. If you walk after last meal of the day, you can stimulate your colon to create bowel movements. In addition, walking strengthens and tones your colon walls. This prevents your colon from becoming misshaped when you on occasion become constipated.

Inactivity or lack of exercise will contribute to lack of colon muscle tone, which will contribute to constipation no matter what your age.

There are many good exercises that stimulate and strengthen your body. These exercises will help you eliminate constipation. Of course, any type of exercise will be of benefit to your health. When your colon is toxic, then exercises that activate the lymph system are good.

The lymph system removes waste and toxins from the liquid that surround your cells. So it is critical these toxins not be allowed to remain in your body long. If they do, then this is another form of constipation. Lymph nodes get plugged up with toxins, waste, and bacteria and as more waste and toxins are created they get backed up in the lymph liquid or vessels.

The rebounder has long been known to be one of the best exercise tools for stimulating and activating the lymphatic system. It also strengthens all the internal organs, tissue and cells. The colon walls are especially stretched which will help you to relieve your constipation. Other exercises are usually not a complete exercise like the rebounder.

In, Jumping for Health, 1989, Dr. Morton Walker, identifies why the re-bounder is good for a healthy body,

"Thus, the G force at the top of the bounce is eliminated and the body becomes weightless for a fraction of a second. At the bottom of the bounce when you touch the mat the G force suddenly doubles over what is ordinary gravity on earth and internal organs are put under pressure. Their cellular stimulation is increased accordingly so waste materials within cells get squeezed out. The lymphatic system carries waste away to be disposed of through the urinary and other excretory mechanisms. Rebounding makes the body cleaner...The increased G force also puts cell walls under stress causing them to undergo an individual training effect. The aerobics of rebounding brings more oxygen for penetration by osmosis from the blood. Each cell gets the amount of nourishment it requires on which to thrive."

But, if you are not satisfied with your body, the illnesses you support, and the thoughts you think and carry with you, then look at some of the changes you can make that will make your life happier and healthier.

The main thing is to provide movement for your stomach area. This provides movement to your colon and helps to move fecal matter through your colon. It strengthens your colon walls and helps to release glutamine that feeds the intestinal cell lining.

Exercise - A Treatment For Relieving Constipation

Study Can Ionic Cleanse Foot Bath Treatments Relieve Constipation? additional

Most of the adults, men and women, are constantly "plagued" by constipation. They are always on the the look out for simple and effective approaches, methods or ways to help relief them of constipation.

Constipation has been and will always be a very common condition. It can be caused by a large number of factors, such as the lifestyle - diet and exercise plan; working environment - stress; and many other contributing factors from foods and beverages that we consumed in our daily life.

In most cases, poor diet and the lack of physical exercise are singled out as the main causes of constipation. On the other factors - the least contributing factors, come from food such as dairy products, greasy and fried foods, and beverages such as alcohol and caffeine, to name a few, that can lead to constipation problems.

Although much has been said about some of the products named above, that can offer some benefits to our health, for example alcohol and dairy products, they have all been advice to take in a modest quantity and usually to be combined with a structured nutritious plan and some form of exercise.

Without the combination, chronic constipation is a real possibility as improper nutrition and poor lifestyle will contribute to a blockage in the gastrointestinal tract. A blockage, or fecal impaction, is caused when the feces that clings to the walls of the colon and intestines builds up to the point of causing an obstruction.

When this obstruction occurs, the waste will not pass freely beyond the fecal impaction and pressure will begin to build on the abdomen and lower back. If the waste is not evacuated from the body in a timely fashion, the blood stream will begin to reabsorb the bacteria present in the waste and cause chronic poisoning.

This is the term revealed by Ilya Ilyich Mechnikov, a Russian biologist and physiologist. He said that all these waste or toxins will cause long-term poisoning. This alone is the main cause where people used to fall sick and succumb to diseases. Since this "poisoning" will lead to a general weakening of the entire immune system and leave your body susceptible to infection and disease.

If the blockage is not relieved and too much waste gets accumulated, a massive infection will begin to rage in the body and the person will develop septicemia or blood poisoning. Death is a very real possibility once septicemia has begun.

What can we do to relief constipation?

There is a simple and effective way which can help relief constipation and it can be found in ionic Cleanse Foot Bath.

I am going to share a real-life experience from a 82-year old granny.

Prior to using the ionic cleanse foot bath, this granny has constipation and some form of skin condition that has plagued her for many years - we will leave the skin condition at another article that I will post later.

As early as the second treatment when she started the ionic cleanse foot bath treatments, she reported that her bowel movements has been more timely than before and somewhat helped relieved her constipation. She continued her treatments; she is now onto the end of her first course treatment of 15 sessions, and at about the eighth session, she reported that her constipation has been completely relieved. She no longer feels "bloated" and she enjoys regular bowel movements and she said, in her own words, "I feel lighter now!".

Wow! This is amazing - some degree of relief to constipation after only 2 sessions!

What an effective and simple approach to relief constipation!

So how does granny perform the treatments?

Each treatment is performed by having the granny's feet submerged into a tub fill with warm water. The temperature of the water is about 38~40 degree Centigrade. The treatment process is activated with an array or ioniser in the water and connected to the ionic cleanse foot bath. Each session last only for 30 minutes, and granny does the treatment once every week.

This is truly an another effective and simple method to relief constipation. Potentially, some relief to constipation can be obtained after 2 weeks if treatments with the ionic cleanse foot bath is performed once per week.

Onwards with healthy living.
